I'm sorry to say I wouldn't recommend Klem as he's not as gentle and his attitude is an in and out attitude that did not make me feel comfortable. If you're having issues with pain in your knees I would highly recommend them as I had 40% of my meniscus removed 33 years ago and the pain became more than I could handle. I knew I was facing probable knee replacement, but I have MS and surgery would be very hard on me. I know surgery is inevitable but if I can get relief and put it off for 6 months or so it will he worth it since I'm not quite bone on bone with minimal carriage. Jill went above and beyond to ensure this happened after my mom's doctor failed to send over the sufficient referral. My Mother was advised that she would not be able to get a shot that day. However, Jill put on her SUPERHERO cape, bypassed the doctor's office and contacted the insurance company directly who was able to give the needed referral. For those who wonder if these gel treatments work for your joint issues..they're painless & they work! Yesterday I had my knee injected as an alternative to a knee replacement & I am so glad that I did!! Right after the 1st of 3 injections I can do full squats, leg raises (etc) without a knee brace..Don't get accustomed to walking around in pain, or having doctors throw pills at you.There are alternatives; sometimes you just have to put forth the effort and research. "I’ve been going to Joint Relief Institute in Orland Park. My knee pain was constant, often immobilizing, including waking me up at night. I’d been seeing an orthopedic surgeon, but my knee had an adverse effect from the cortisone shot I received. I read about JRI in the Sunday paper. I was of course skeptical. Just sounded too good to be true. The ‘live imaging’ was the game changer for me. Of course it would be more effective if you could direct where the gel needed to go. The initial consultation was free, so I made an appointment. These injections have worked remarkably well for me. Every six months I get the series of 5 shots. My knees feel stronger and I am almost always pain free. Dr. Rahul Khapekar is my wonderful doctor at JRI. He is an excellent, patient and thorough doctor. Each visit he drains any accumulated liquid from my inflamed knees. Then, using real time imaging, he injects a dye to see where the gel needs to go. Lastly, he injects the dye into all the crevices in my knee. I am grateful to JRI, Dr.Khapekar and their efficient staff. They make my life, and others who go to JRI, better. If the knee injections continue to work, I may never need knee surgery. But all the time I’m getting injections surgical procedures are improving and becoming less invasive. I feel very lucky. I had so much question about the procedure and they stay in the room until you are comfortable with the procedure. and also they don't rush you. The billing department is great also because they can help you with payments if you can't pay all at once. "I have severe arthritis in both knees with bone-on-bone issues. I needed a cane or even a walker at times to assist me to walk or stand. I had a course of 5 shots. Felt better after the 1st, and by the 2nd I no longer needed the cane. I still had pain standing or using stairs, but walking was SO MUCH BETTER. The staff is very courteous & helpful, and the Doctors are knowledgeable, thorough & informative. They are very prompt, and remind you of upcoming appointments by phone & text. Highly recommended! Be aware, however, their bathrooms are NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE! That's ridiculous for a place whose clients are people with joint issues. They are small, individual bathrooms with no bars on the walls for leverage. That's the only reason they didn't get 5 stars! Dr. Rahul is the BEST! Every Dr. I've seen there was excellent."

"The right knee pain was with me for more than 2 years. The arthroscopic surgery and stem cell treatment along with regular exercises on a treadmill did not help. My knee was locked and very stiff when getting out of the car after a long drive or even getting up from a chair after sitting down for only a half hour. Going up and down stairs was also very difficult. After reviewing many positive comments about the Joint Relief Institute, I decided to have the treatments at the Institute even it took 3 hours of driving from Indianapolis each way. "On 10/4/18 I had been limping in pain since Spring 2018. Right knee swollen, hot & painful. I just have to say The Joint Relief Institute of Orland Park IL is phenomenal !! Everyone there makes you feel at ease & they are quick to find answers. Everyone who assisted me in getting to the root of my knee issue was extremely helpful. Prior doctors from Hinsdale Orthopedics of Naperville after doing x-rays and MRI of right knee both said I would knee a full knee replacement due to osteoarthritis, thin cartilage, and kneecap out of the normal groove (internal derangement they call it). Well, I don't want to lose my kneecap! So I came here. They drained 68cc out of my knee (15 syringes!) and i was able to WALK normal again!!! YEP just drained it and gave me a shot for pain & brace to keep kneecap from shifting. The fluid had particles of ligament in it which is being tested (possible ruptured ligament) & prior MRI is also being looked at. They will call me next week with results. But I will not need total knee replacement. I was/am crying with joy right now. I can't thank you enough to the two doctors who drained it !!! It is now 1am and i am still doing ok. [Now...since this flare/tear happened, I have been cared for by Dr. Hana, and I feel comforted knowing he's there for me, and he really knows the ins and outs of what's happening w me. Gentle in his disposition and really great in his expertise.] This week, what prompted this initial post was a flare that occurred after my 4th injections on Dec 26th and drainage of my right knee. Very painful. Initially, I did feel better which makes sense. I walked around for a little bit, but a few hours after I could not bear weight on my r knee, and I was in a lot of pain. I could tell, my r knee was swollen, moving up my thigh. Of course I called the Join Relief Institute several times and left one message. I didn't think they had an after hours (on call) service. What a disappointment. If you're going to do something where patients can have any series of reactions, an after hours service, I think, would be important to have. [Updated Note: apparently they do have staff responsible to screen after hour calls, so I just happened to fall thru the cracks. The way they have since taken care of me, I increased my rating to 4 because an apology goes a long way for me, and they bent over backwards to be there for me - from Dr Hana, the office manager and every staff I've come across. I should have been seen there, yes, and not at urgent care. But people do make mistakes. I can offer grace when we've all made mistakes. Mine was not a fun one but don't let that dissuade you from going here.] I ended up at urgent care on Dec. 26th, which is urgent but not fast moving. I was there 7-1030pm. JRI did eventually call me at 1040am the next day and the doctor I spoke to showed compassion and listened to everything. And they have continued to take care of me to ensure I'm ok. That makes a difference. I went through a really bad evening, but I know that if anything like that happens again, the staff at JRI wouldn't let me be by myself. If you're looking for a great place to get your injections, I would agree this is definitely a good one. They do have an after hours service so don't let my experience necessarily taint your opinion. I prefer continuity of care and a better list of post procedure reminders that are given to you when you leave. Now, when things calm down (they're growing fast), I believe you can request one physician to stay with. At this point, Dr. Hana has personally ensured my well being, and I'm grateful for that. I've also been very impressed with Dr. Rad. I liked the rest of the physicians too but didnt get to know them long enough to give you an opinion about their skills. I think you need to get to know a few of them and decide who you click with and whose skills in handling your body gives you comfort. Hope this is taken as a fair post."
